A bridge for Future Artists in post-Brexit Europe

‘Levi’s® - Europe’, Role: Creative Direction & Creative Strategy

In 2019, Levi’s® Music Project built 4 new state-of-the-art community studios across Europe that gave 50 Future Artists a space to create, collaborate, and grow. Forming a network of spaces that built bridges between young people in:

Tottenham | Paris | St. Pauli | Manchester | Birmingham | Barcelona | Kassel | Liverpool | Milano | Москва

In Barcelona, DJ & Producer extraordinaire Alizzz took the reins working together with Warner & Levi’s to develop a pioneering programme in music production. Partnering with the renowned Microfusa school, 12 students were extensively mentored over a 5 month period from March to July culminating in a live performance at the cities’ biggest stage, Razzmatazz.

Whilst in Paris , the project created a space within Mains d'oeuvres - an artistic centre in the Saint-Ouen region of Paris. The mentorship program to support the studio launch was led by auteur Gaël Faye, which involved his network, including the Ibeyi sisters. The Future Artists from the project performed side-by-side with Gael Faye and Ibeyi in a sold-out concert hall.

In Kassel, Milky Chance built a community music space in their German hometown. Future Artists had the opportunity to perform live in front of more than 9,000 people at the ‘Milky Chance and Friends’ festival, a festival run and headlined by Milky Chance in their very own home town.

Rooted in the values of the project, Levi’s® Support Music Nights was a four date tour across Germany that gave the young artists of the Levi’s® Music Project the opportunity to share the stage with inspirational mentors in music. Performing alongside Drangsal in Kassel, Megaloh in Frankfurt, Chefket in St. Pauli, before stopping in Cologne with Leoniden for the final show.
